  • In the end, everything was fantastic. However, we did have some anxiety and confusion about packing. I may have missed an email, but I used the G-Adventures App and was unaware of the restrictions . I called before the trip and was told that our suitcases would be transferred between hotels. The welcome meeting did not clear things up. In hindsight, I now fully understand. I think a clear email ahead of the trip that says you can leave a small bag at the 2nd hotel that you will not get back until after Machu Picchu and you only have 7-8kgs, which includes 4kgs for sleeping bag and mat. We managed just fine with the restrictions, but I think it would be good on the Lares Trek if the small bag from hotel 2 could be picked up before catching the train to hotel 3. I have used G-Advenures 4 times now and each time has been great! I love the balance of classic tourism and some unusual bits. I like that they show and support local initiatives.

  • I am positively surprised how everything was so well organized. There were only two of us and we were offered such a good service! The whole team put their heart and soul into their work and made it a pleasure. It is still an unknown hike with such an amazing landscape!
